Website Accessibility

AgMRC is committed in its efforts to make its Web site at www.agmrc.org accessible to all people, including those with disabilities as required by Section 508 of the Workforce Investment Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act. AgMRC's web staff works continuously to make AgMRC's Web site as accessible and informative as possible, and fullfilling all Priority 1 checkpoints as laid out by World Wide Web Consortium's Web Content Accessibility Guidelines.

File Formats

  • HTML
  • Many of the documents on www.agmrc.org are in HTML format. Pages in these formats are usually accessible to screen-reading software.
  • PDF -  A large number of documents are in Adobe Acrobat Portable Document Format (PDF), a type that reproduces the exact look of a printed page. To view pdf files, you will need free Adobe Acrobat Reader. To download the free Adobe Acrobat Reader, go to http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html
    Adobe offers PDF-to-HTML conversion tools for blind and visually impaired users at http://access.adobe.com/index.html.
  • IMAGES - All free-standing images are accompanied by alternative text describing the image.

Text Size - Viewing text in Larger Size

In order to view text in larger than the default size please follow the following instructions:

  • Internet Explorer on PC:
    From the top menu bar select: Tools > Internet Options and click 'Accessibility'. Check the box that says "Ignore font sizes specified on Web pages". Click ok and then ok again. Then from the top menu bar select View > Text Size and select the desired size.
  • Netscape 6 on PC:
    From the top menu select: View > Text Size and then select your desired size.
  • Internet Explorer on a Macintosh:
    From the top menu select: View > Text Zoom and then select your desired size.
  • Netscape 6 on a Macintosh:
    From the top menu bar select: Edit > Preferences > Appearance, then choose Fonts. Check the box that says, "Always use my font settings overriding web page font" and then choose the size you want from the dropdown above.

Frames

Ag Marketing Resource Center is set up in a framed structure. The home page provides a link to a text only layout of the site.

How to Print Frames

  • Individual frame:
    • Netscape: click within the frame you would like to print, then go to
      File - Print Frames - choose "the selected frame" or "each frame separately"
    • Explorer: click within the frame you would like to print, then go to
      File - Print - Options: choose from "only the selected frame" or "all frames individually"
  • Framed page:
    • Netscape: Go to File - Print - Print Frames "as laid out on screen"
    • Explorer: Go to File - Print - Options: Print Frames "as laid out on screen"
